Mizuno River Kwai International Half Marathon 2011
Period: 11 Sep 2011
Venue: River Kwai Village Hotel, Sai Yok, Kanchanaburi
Description: The River Kwai Half Marathon is the oldest road race in Thailand. Organized by Amazing Field with pioneering race director Songkram Kraisonthi, the 30th edition of the race will be held on 11 Sep 2011 with the start and finish at River Kwai Village Resort. The out and back course is one of the most scenic in Thailand. It takes runners up a gradual climb to the turn around point at 10.5 km. The declining return leg to the finish line will make for a fast second half of the race and most runners normally post a negative split at this race. There is also a 10K Run on offer which uses the same course with an earlier turn around point. Entries are limited to 1,500 runners and the race has sold out in previous years.
